I have never been as moved by a script as I have for Jack Thorne's for BEST INTERESTS. Loved working on this incredible drama with the most amazing cast crew and team.

@MartinSmith episode 1 was brilliant - Jack captures real-life vernacular so well and affords all his characters a depth, purpose and empathy. Brilliant acting from the leads of course, but also from the sisters. Hesitant about the commonplace 'open with dramatic scene then flash back' device beloved of TV drama (something Russell T Davies refused to do on It's a Sin) but if it hooks people in, it's doing its job. looking forward to seeing it unfold

@RobinParker Stick with it Robin. Jack's writing in this is incredible, and the performances are off the scale. A tough watch at times, but the empathy and insight are something truly special.

The idea for the series was to offer a really positive, fresh take on African culture. There's music, art, fashion, photography, and some amazing contributors.
