In 2024, I executive produced series 2 of THE OVERLAP ON TOUR for Sky. This featured Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher revisiting the European cities which hosted their most memorable matches. Filming took place in Turin, Istanbul, Barcelona and Rome and involved high-adrenaline sporting activities including America's Cup yacht racing, diving off the 10m platform at the Barcelona Olympic diving pool, white water rafting, tandem bike riding and Europe's longest zipwire! The final shows also featured highlights from a live event recorded at Aviva Studios, Manchester.
In 2023, I executive produced the first series of THE OVERLAP ON TOUR - a 4-part series featuring Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher. Each episode featured highlights from a live arena event, backstage footage and specially shot location VTs. The live shows took place in London (Wembley Arena), Dublin (3Arena), Liverpool (M&S Bank Arena) and Manchester (Apollo).
In early 2022, I executive produced 'THE JOHN BISHOP SHOW', the debut prime time Saturday night talk show hosted by John Bishop broadcast on ITV in January and February 2022. Following that, I returned for another series executive producing 'IAIN STIRLING'S CELEBABILITY' (series 6) for Potato/ITV2. Before that, I series produced the 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN CHRISTMAS SPECIAL' (my fourth time of doing so) and finished two series of 'COMEDIANS GIVING LECTURES' (restarted following a pandemic-induced year-long hiatus) for Dave/12 Yard.
Earlier in 2021, I executive produced 'CELEBABILITY' for ITV2/Potato - a fifth series of this comedy-entertainment panel show hosted by Iain Stirling and featuring Marek Larwood and Scarlett Moffatt along with a host of celebrities taking on teams of prize-seekers in a variety of hilarious challenges. Prior to this, I was back at CPL Productions series producing 'QUIZNESS with Tom Allen' for Channel 4. This followed a successful pilot and was devised by Dan Maier (long-term writer for Harry Hill). Between the pilot and the commissioned series, I stayed at CPL to series produce the 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN' 2020 Christmas special which featured the regular cast, H from Steps and host James Corden via a live link to LA.
In August 2020 I series produced a series of primetime specials (and a Christmas edition) of 'RICHARD OSMAN'S HOUSE OF GAMES' for Remarkable/BBC1. These shows featured guests including: Jennifer Saunders, Jason Manford, Roisin Conaty, Alex Horne and Jermaine Jenas. In early 2020, I was working at 12 Yard on the second and third series of 'COMEDIANS GIVING LECTURES' hosted by Sara Pascoe for Dave/UKTV. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic aborted production just a week prior to recording the series.
Through most of 2019 and into January 2020, I was at Sony series producing 'BACK OF THE NET' - a football-based comedy-entertainment show for Amazon Prime hosted by John Bishop, Peter Crouch and Gabby Logan. We secured memorable appearances from stars including: Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Robbie Williams. Previously, I was at Avalon series producing two series of 'AL MURRAY'S GREAT BRITISH PUB QUIZ' for Quest. The shows have subsequently been bought by and aired on Comedy Central.
Earlier in 2018, I was back at CPL overseeing the ‘A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN’ Christmas special (having done this in 2017 as well) and developing a non-TX pilot of 'THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MOVIES' - both for Sky One. At the start of 2018, I SPed the debut series of 'BUY IT NOW' for Studio Lambert/Channel 4. The show involved inventors/sellers demonstrating their products to an audience of shoppers who indicated that they liked the product by turning on green lights in their chairs. Once the price was revealed, would they still buy the product? And if they did - even just one - then the seller had the chance to supersize their sale with a panel of national retailers. The 30-episode run was hosted by Brian Conley.
Late in 2017, I was hired to series produce the pilot of 'FOR FACTS SAKE', a comedy panel show for BBC1 made by Hungry Bear and featuring Brendan O'Carroll as host with various cast members of 'MRS BROWN'S BOYS' acting as team captains with the panel line-ups completed with members of the public. The show was commissioned and TXed in late 2018.
In the summer of 2017, I SPed the Christmas special of 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN' for CPL/Sky. Prior to that, I was hired to series produce a US version of 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN' for CBS, filmed in New York over the summer of 2017 but this was postponed for several years before returning in 2020 as 'Game On'. Earlier in 2017, I worked at Hungry Bear Media on the third series of 'PLAY TO THE WHISTLE', ITV's sports-based comedy-entertainment show hosted by Holly Willoughby and featuring team captains Frank Lampard and Bradley Walsh. Guests included: John Terry, Alan Shearer, Jimmy Carr, Ashley Cole, Judy Murray, Scarlett Moffatt, Ore Oduba, Sam Quek, Kevin Bridges and Rob Beckett.
In the summer of 2016, I series produced a comedy-panel show pilot on the art of bluffing called 'CODSWALLOP' for Potato/ITV which was hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal and featured Vicky Pattison, Abigail Clancy, Sara Pascoe, Jimmy Bullard, Stephen Bailey, Matt Crosby and Tom Rosenthal. In April 2016, I worked at Avalon Productions on a comedy panel show about the arts for the BBC, hosted and devised by Frank Skinner called 'BUT IS IT ART?'.
In early 2016, I series produced the second series of 'PLAY TO THE WHISTLE' - ITV's primetime Saturday night comedy-entertainment show set in the world of sport. Loosely! I also series produced 'PICK ME!', an entertainment gameshow hosted by Stephen Mulhern for Possessed TV. In the summer of 2015, I series produced 'ITS A FUNNY OLD WEEK' hosted by Jason Manford for ITV. This was the debut series of a topical comedy news review show which grew out of 'It's A Funny Old Year', ITV's successful end of year review comedy. Prior to that, I series produced 'PLAY TO THE WHISTLE' - a sports-themed comedy entertainment show on ITV (Saturday night prime-time - after 'Britain's Got Talent') for Hungry Bear Media. The show was hosted by Holly Willoughby and featured Frank Lampard and Bradley Walsh as team captains with other regulars including Romesh Ranganathan, Seann Walsh and Jimmy Bullard. The role involved tinkering with the format, overseeing scripts, supervising the producers and production team and working closely with talent, execs, writers and commissioners to produce the debut series.
Earlier in the year I finished producing Series 9 of Sky1HD's 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN' for CPL and before that I produced Series 6, Series 7 (the Bafta-winning one!) and Series 8. Hosted by James Corden and with regular panellists Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Jack Whitehall, the show marries sport and comedy in an entertaining, often silly way and features big studio-based games and high-octane action from various homes of sport (IE, F1 racing at Silverstone, penalty-kicks at Wembley etc). Between series of 'A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN' I series produced 'THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MOVIES', a pilot film quiz for CPL/Sky (subsequently commissioned), and the development phase of 'THRONECAST' for Sky Atlantic/CPL ahead of its relaunch for series 4.
