I am a freelance cameraman and immigrated to the UK from South Africa in 2001. I've got my UK passport and pay my tax here.
I have just received my pension from my SA fund and have paid into my UK bank now. I was taxed on the payout to SA Revenue Services as a pension payout. There was no way to do a straight transfer to my UK pension fund. I will be taxed again when I need to draw it.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
