@SerenaFyvie I wouldn't be able to directly give you work but I can definitely assist with advice on your CV and answer any industry questions.

Thanks @BethBacon. If you have any advice on approaching companies for a placement for credit towards my degree course in creative producing that would help. As a mature student and career changer with work experience in other business sectors, I didn't think offering to work for free would be so difficult!

@SerenaFyvie I would start applying for a jobs as a Runner. We're trying to eradicate unpaid work in the TV industry and encourage everyone to get experience through paid Runner work as much as possible. A great place to start is the Facebook group People in TV: Runners. Hope that helps.
