As a past TV Editor, I am able to Self-Shoot content for the edit and gather B-Roll, GV's and IV's, Master or OTF with the Narrative in mind for the editing and post-production process. I can organise crew and locations of any size, working with Presenters, Crew and contributors on location and interacting with specific Military and Emergency service organisations to gain access. Formats include Observational/actuality documentaries, Blue Light shows, Reality, News and Factual Entertainment shows.

My DV Directing experience includes UK and Europe shoots on major series as both single and crew-based Self-Shooter organising presenters and Contributors around time-constraining shooting schedules and people with limited time to spare for filming. I work well to organise shoot days around shoot notes but I also bring my own creative style, yet keeping within the production and showrunners format.
Additional Television experience includes working with PDs as a second camera person including filming Master IVs, OTFs, cross-shooting and gathering GV's & B-Roll for narrative, actuality or Documentary programmes.
I own and work extensively with Sony PXW FS7 (Owner/Operator) and have experience with Sony FX6/9, Canon C300, GoPro and DSLR cameras using different formats for shooting on location or set.
My Drone equipment includes:
- DJI Inspire 2 with Zenmuse X5s M4/3 sensor and various lenses. (Shoots H264/Mov and in Pro-Res and Cinema DNG Files)
- DJI Mavic 3 Cine Package with Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422, and Apple ProRes 422 LT encoding at a maximum data rate of 3772 Mbps.
- DJI Avata FPV Drone Video Format MP4, Max Bitrate 150Mbps and both Standard and D-Cinelike profiles.
Specialist Experience: Drone Pilot/Camera in Night filming operations and flying in sensitive areas such as Aerodromes, inside buildings, at events, and in Extreme environments.
I am adaptable in organising complex aerial shoots for broadcast involving obtaining legal flying permissions and creating complex risk assessments, obtaining required permissions, and liaising with notifying authorities regarding aerial shoot plans, logistics and needs in the UK and Europe.

Gavin rocks! He's talented and determined with a eye for a stunning image!
Gavin provided us with some fantastic drone shots for the 2nd series of A&E: After Dark. The images looked fantastic. Gavin did all the prep work and secured the necessary permissions for take off and landing sites. Highly recommended.
