I've got two programmes I shot going out on TV this week. The first is Ashley Banjo: Britain in Black and White on ITV 9pm tomorrow. The second on Saturday is The 80s - Music’s Greatest Decade?, with Dylan Jones at 9pm on BBC 2. Great to see Black Classical Music: The Forgotten History another film I shot repeated on BBC TV last night! @BecsHall thank goodness it was pre pandemic so fortunately we didn't have the regulations to contend with but the gypsy and traveller community were mostly onboard with filming

Catch Ashley Banjo: Britain in Black and White tonight on ITV 9pm if you can. Part journey of discovery, part intimate biography, Ashley will reveal how race and racism have impacted upon his life and that of his family and friends. Crucially by meeting civil rights trailblazers from modern history, he will also try and understand what it means to take a stand. I loved filming with the Gypsy and Traveller community, as well as the lovely locals in Appleby, (almost) everyone welcomed us. All the horses and beautiful bow-top caravans were a pleasure to film. The team were fantastic, it's quite an undertaking to manage several teams of shooters out in amongst such chaos - what a team @firecracker-films

I absolutely loved making Handmade, Britain's Best Woodworker. The team at Plimsoll are awesome. The contributors were amazing. Wood is such an amazing element to film....from nothing to a stunning result. All HOP's were mums which is a first for me - and something very unusual in telly. The crew were fabulous and location stunning. LOVED it! If you watched it hope you did too.

On Saturday night the first episode of the 4-part music series ‘The 80s - Music’s Greatest Decade?’ with Dylan Jones goes out at 9pm on BBC 2. This has to be a record for me as this will be the fourth film I’ve worked on all being shown in the same week! The fourth film is ‘Standing Firm: Football’s Windrush Story’ with Benjamin Zephaniah which is been shown for the first time on ITV on Sunday night at 22.45.@BecsHall @SarahLee @TheTalentManager
