I think it depends which stage of your career you're at/how much in your bank account... I'm definitely surprised no one has voted (yet) for company/contacts?! Can make or break the trajectory you're going in...all to be discussed Thursday hopefully!

@DominiqueFoster agreed. Having a great production company name on your CV (or similarly having some top contacts you've worked with and will champion you) can be worth its weight in gold in the longer term. Can't stress enough the value of longer term career goals, and then working backwards, the stepping stones that will help you get there.

If you've shot, produced and directed outside TV and worked as a researcher and AP on current affairs programmes you initiated and as an AP on ob docs, what is the best way level role in TV, to aim at, not having done the runner, researcher, AP route?

Fif you have plenty of shooting and edit i.e. craft experience - and some shoot-AP level small production experience, where/how would you recommend getting more advanced scripting and planning/structuring experience for bigger productions?
