Great to see this. I look forward to learning how the three main proposals are fleshed out so they address the lack of job security and pigeonholing of freelancer talent in particular. More training courses are not the answer!

I agree. Also, very pleased to see someone is addressing the lack of mid career training and mentoring opportunities. There seems to be loads of opportunities for entry level, but taking mid career tv professionals and creating opportunities to grow and make use of their experience and skills would be be very welcome!

Also please help break down the barriers created by 'must have experience of working for streamers'. It's telly in the end, the differences are slight and could be easily explained/taught/briefed to freelancers on the job. Yet so many production companies are turning this piece of experience into something unobtainable. There needs to be a commitment from production companies & broadcasters to freelancers & not just via Screenskills but on the coalface, in production.

As someone who runs a training organisation - one that's focussed on CPD training - it's good to see a high-level review of the sector, but would be better if they took some input from training providers.
