My question last night was : do the panel think that the current trend, in high end feature docs, for showing set up shots including lighting and outtakes as establisher shots for interviews is a fad that will pass or is it now the norm? Do you think it adds veracity to a documentary by showing a 'warts and all' approach?

@NadyaMahdi Hi Nadya! The answer from Lorraine to your question is: I think really it’s just a stylistic thing that had a lot of impact when it was first used and seemed original and different but has now become much imitated and arguably overused. It’s always challenging to know how to introduce a 'talking head' and this is a good way of getting some footage that you can use to voice over. [1/2]

@NadyaMahdi ... It’s also interesting to see the person ‘off duty’ and maybe ‘off guard’, particularly if they are a major public figure. However if there’s no real purpose to it, it can feel like a bit of a cliché. [2/2].
