Former Lime Pictures executive Joe McLusky has joined Married at First Sight UK producer CPL as the company’s founders take on new roles.
McLusky [main picture] will take on the new role of general manager and will oversee day-to-day operations at the company alongside CPL co-founder Murray Boland.
The move follows Boland co-founder Danielle Lux taking new roles in March – Boland as chief content officer and Lux promoted from manging director to chief executive officer – with Susy Price, Naz Karim and David Taylor each promoted to creative director.
Lux now takes up an executive chair role with a strategic focus on nurturing talent and driving cross-genre innovation.
Meanwhile, chief operating officer Janet Oakes will move to a part-time role in 2026 and remains a CPL board director.
Until late 2024, McLusky was director of unscripted production across Lime Pictures and sister labels Wise Owl Films and Lion TV, with a portfolio spanning Celebs go Dating, Horrible Histories, When ABBA Came to Britain and Homes Under the Hammer.
He was previously Lime’s head of production from 2013 to 2016 and has held senior roles at Shine, Granada TV, ITV Studios and VIS UK.
Lux hailed McLusky's "unparalleled" experience.
“CPL has always been about creating the right space for the most talented people to do their best work,” she said.
"I know he will contribute to CPL’s continued growth. My role will be changing from the day-to-day running of the business and Joe’s appointment will allow me to focus more fully on strategy and creativity.
“These 20 years of growing CPL have been the best of my career – incredible people and powerful shows. I know this new structure is going to allow CPL to continue to grow and flourish.”
