ITV Studios has unveiled a reality, quiz and game formats label and also struck a first-look deal with Belfast’s Afro-Mic Productions.

Great Shout, run by producers Patrick Carr (Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway; In For a Penny) and Bob Fletcher (Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad; A League of Their Own), will develop and pitch ideas to networks and buyers with ITVS as a distribution partner.

Similarly, Afro-Mic gets to exploit ITVS’s infrastructure, including its format catalogue, market intelligence, global distribution, and its digital labels Zoo 55 and Studio 55.

Founded by Emma-Rosa Dias, Afro-Mic is behind series including Will & Ralf Should Know Better for UKTV [main picture] and How to Sleep Better for Channel 4.

ITVS UK managing director, unscripted Tim Carter said: “These strategic collaborations will add range, diversity and surprise to our unscripted development pipeline.

“They complement our production labels’ best in class development teams, while allowing us to remain agile and maintain our position as a leader in returnable IP.”
