You're looking for the script that keeps you reading… The one that introduces you to a world you haven't seen before… The one that reminds you why you wanted to work in television and film in the first place.
In the autumn of 2025, six of us spent a week together on the Women in Film and Television UK Kay Mellor Screenwriters' Lab. We came from different backgrounds, wrote in different genres and had taken very different routes into the industry.
After the lab, one craving kept us in touch…
We each had something distinctive to offer, and together we could help make those voices easier to discover.
Script Queens grew from that craving.
We believe great work deserves to be seen. As an empowered group of women screenwriters, we celebrate each other's successes, open doors where we can, share opportunities, make introductions and keep each other moving forwards. That same spirit is what sits behind our first showcase.
On the 5th November in central London, we're inviting producers, commissioners, development executives and agents into the room to meet six writers and six original scripts in the hope that you'll discover a story and a writer you can’t stop thinking about.
You never know, the thing you’ve been craving may have been there the whole time, hiding behind the ketchup.
