Recently worked as Producer/Director for coverage of the Premier League Kicks Cup at St George’s Park for @PDI Media
The brief was to help build a film combining the competition itself with the wider impact Premier League Kicks has on the young people involved.
Working closely with cam-ops @RachaelTurntin (Martin) and Chris Noonan, I produced participant and coach interviews and helped coordinate the coverage so contributors had matching action, reactions and natural moments to support their stories in the edit.
Throughout a fast-moving day, we kept checking what the edit might still need, adapting our coverage as fixtures and priorities changed and making sure the final team had a varied mix of clubs, personalities and regional voices to work with.
Some of the strongest contributions focused on confidence, community, free access to football and opportunity.
A really enjoyable day combining live sport, contributor-led storytelling, close collaboration with the crew and quick production decisions on location.
