Last year I shot and directed "Bristol's Hidden River" on commission for Bristol Avon Rivers Trust, exploring the wildlife and conservation issues of the Bristol Frome. It's a charming river with rich biodiversity that takes an unexpected dive when the river heads underground beneath Bristol for nearly a quarter of its short length.
We held a premiere at the Bristol Aquarium IMax theater in January, which sold out overnight with 200+ people on the waiting list for tickets. So we held a second event at the IMax and it booked out again. An amazing impact for the film: None of us were expecting this, a humbling and remarkable audience for a local conservation story. I'm proud that the film is now up on YouTube for all to enjoy.

These are my favourite sorts of documentary projects, working alongside NGOs and passionate people, where I can bring to bear the high-end visuals from my experience shooting blue-chip natural history series to drive real impact and value where it matters most - engaging communities.
