As the Director and Filmmaker for Multiplicity, I was responsible for capturing the essence of this transformative project. I directed and filmed a 45-minute documentary following the journeys of the participating artists, the creative mentorship process, and the development of their work toward the final exhibition.I documented workshops, artistic growth, and personal reflections, highlighting themes of identity, belonging, and creative expression. Working closely with the project leads, curators, and mentors, I ensured an authentic representation of the project’s vision. I also edited and structured the final film for exhibition, where it formed a key part of the Multiplicity showcase at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. This documentary celebrates diverse voices and challenges traditional narratives in the arts, revealing how mentorship, collaboration, and creativity empower artists of colour across Wales.Multiplicity is a six-month mentorship and exhibition project supporting artists of colour in Wales to explore themes of identity, belonging, and creative expression. Led by artist Jasmine Violet and curated by Ffion Rhys, the project is part of the Perspective(s) Initiative, a collaboration between Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Arts Council of Wales, and Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales.
