👋 Adios 2025. You Weird, Wild, Whiplash of a Year.

Well.
That was… something.

2025 has been one of the strangest years many of us can remember in the industry.

Extreme highs — working harder, faster, and under more pressure than ever.

And then…
Utter silence.
Weeks of refreshing emails.
Endless LinkedIn scrolling.
Wondering if everyone else secretly got the memo.

It’s been unsettling.
Sometimes frightening.
Often confusing.
And yes — at moments — deeply frustrating.

But here’s the thing I want to say as we head into the festive season:
👉 Don’t let the quiet patches define how you walk into 2026.

The landscape has changed — we all know that.
The way projects are commissioned, structured, staffed and delivered isn’t what it was.
I’ve written plenty about why that is, so I won’t bore you by repeating myself again (you’re welcome). But change doesn’t mean over. It just means different.

And if we enter the new year with: ✨ realistic expectations
✨ openness to adjustment
✨ flexibility in how we work
✨ and a bit of optimism (with a healthy dose of pragmatism)
…then there is absolutely reason to believe things will pick up — just not in the exact same shape as before.
So whatever your plan is this Christmas:
🎯 If you want to pivot — pivot.
🎯 If you want to push forward — pursue it.
🎯 If you want to rest, reset, and reassess — do that.
🎄 And if you want to get mildly (or wildly) festive and pretend the industry doesn’t exist for a couple of weeks — honestly, crack on.
None of those choices are wrong.

Let’s head into 2026 lighter, kinder to ourselves, and open to new ways of working — without letting fear or comparison dictate our next move.

Wishing everyone a restful break, some joy where you can find it, and a hopeful start to the year ahead.
We’ve got this. 💛
