I’ve been working on a short independent doc film with a friend - exploring the spaces where women find not just connection, but resilience and, honestly, survival.
It still amazes me how one person’s seemingly simple act - stepping into cold water - can spark something bigger. What started as a personal coping mechanism has grown into a community of literally thousands, built around strength, vulnerability, and solidarity.
For me, this project has been about getting back to why I love telling stories. After stepping away from shooting to start a family, I wanted to reignite my own spark - to be back out on location, working with friends, and making something entirely on our own terms. There’s no platform or commission. Just the two of us, figuring it out, following our instincts, and making the creative calls ourselves. And that kind of freedom has felt magic.
