From what you have seen so far, do you think you will regularly use the TM Hub?

George Cathro
Yes - I think so - it gives us a more focussed forum than FB groups IMO

Robin Parker
@GeorgeCathro @BecsHall thanks George - this is exactly what we the hub was designed for. R u ok we use your quote as a testimony?

George Cathro
@RobinParker Sure!

Becs Hall
@GeorgeCathro Thank you!

Sasha Webb
I'm not sure what the difference is tbh but I possibly wasn't using it before?

Sarah Lee
Hi @Sasha Webb we havent had a feed before but you might be thinking of 'community questions' which we still have and you can access from the community tab above?

It would be good to have the ability to attach .pdf.png ot .jpg documents to your refreence and skill and qualifications database.

Rob McCabe
Yes. Feels focused and more connected ... but need more time to put it through its paces!

Gavin Boyd
Would it eventually have groups similar to Facebook. People working in the same departments?

Ffion Hourigan-Davies
Yes, but personally I'd prefer if it were specifically a recruitment area - maybe a platform more like LinkedIn than Facebook, so posts from people re jobs, vacancies or projects they've done and want to promote would be great, but if it just becomes a board for people to chat more generally about TV it could fall into a trap of just being like another chatty group on FB which would (personally) put me off as we already have this on several other platforms.

@Ffion Davies @Gavin Boyd @Rob McCabe @George Cathro @Sasha Webb we may look at groups eventually but the next step we think might be once people have built TM networks is they will chose to toggle to see the feed just from people they follow ( as opposed to all posts as the default is set now) Although you can already toggle between the two on the left hand side just above the freelancer suggestions. Interesting point Ffion too. We are trying not to be too prescriptive about what people can or should post now but I agree there is a danger if it gets to wide in remit it could become less useful

Toral Dixit
i would use it if the occasion arose - but i have rarely used in the past and dont really see that changing

Becs Hall
thanks for testing for us, we appreciate your time. would also be great to get some feedback on why you wouldn't use it too?

Toral Dixit
@BecsHall - great that people find it useful for discussion etc...but my principle use is job search. I already use FB groups and twitter for all else.

Becs Hall
@ToralDixit thanks for getting back to me. we are also hoping to host webinars and Q&As as well as better helping you network with other freelancers and companies so please do keep checking in to see if there is anything else of interest for you on here.

Myles Judd
I love it, so much more information and features

Becs Hall
Thanks Myles!

Gavin Boyd
I would be posting more creative stuff on this and less on Facebook. Sorry but I've used Facebook groups in jobs and comments than I need to.

Gavin Boyd
Your voting poll does not remember my input. If I return to it then I have to input again.

Myles Judd
Yes same for me

Thanks for letting us know - will add to the developers fixes!

Myles Judd
I like the freelancer suggestions for connecting - it's pulling up a fair number of people I know or have worked with but haven't actually connected up with on TM.

Myles Judd
Would be handy to be able to dismiss suggestions that you don't want to click on though

Myles Judd
otherwise it's almost as though the website is demanding that you connect with the people it has suggested!

Myles Judd
same with the company suggestions function

Becs Hall
Great feedback, thanks!

Myles Judd
Any chance of publishing ratings information for programmes as part of your credits?

Becs Hall
Interesting point, will discuss this with the team!

Elizabeth Norris
No, I don't think I will. Having a quick scroll through now and there are a lot of posts that are of no interest to me. It's fine to have this section but I preferred the old dashboard where the company suggestions were at the top of the page rather than down by the side.

Meera Mistry
It's great but inly way it's useful when I see the time of the companies log in everyday - I talk and call them then get a job. Only got a once back in summer 2015 and before then TM didn't display the company name until you applied. Hopefully I will one day know who gets all these jobs! They usually post here and FB, FB always wins or they have to post because of regulations and they take on previous people from a previous series in the end. Good progress though! Complicated for my eyes - need simple display but I can see the progress I suppose!

*in a

Simon Cooper
Yes it seems more targeted than FB or Linkedin, both for seeing who might be available and for stating your own availability to industry colleagues and friends.

Myles Judd
One thing I find a bit confusing about the TM networking function is that if I add somebody to my network and they accept, I then often get an invite to be added to their network. Does everybody have a separate network?

Sarah Lee

Hi Myles - apologies for not tagging you but we are still fixing this! We have actually changed the networking now on TM so connections are mutual as we agree it wasnt working brilliantly before

Myles Judd
ah great, thanks

Tom Dix

Definitely. It feels more streamlined and easier to connect with peers

Michelangelo Torres
if tm hub became an endless series of posts from people offering their professional services, I don't think I would pay too much attention to it.
Instead, it could be useful for filmmakers, writers, or screenwriters who have projects in the works and are looking for funds.
Ben Seale
Grats everyone at TM, the TM Hub seems to function incredibly well and hopefully it'll be a fun and beneficial space to network- and socialise within the industry. Just hope it doesn't become nothing more than a tedious scroll through endless showreels and availability updates.

Sue Bennett
Yes, looks good.

Will Yates
Hi @SarahLee sorry, no. I personally don't think the world needs another Facebook! I was sad to see TM trying to emulate social media. I'm glad for the switch to old dashboard option though and wish there was a way to make that default.

Anonymous
Yes definitely
