Hello, Hub,
I am new to this platform.
I recently had my first gig as an SA/Extra, and I really enjoyed being on a film set. I was fascinated and impressed by how well-run, planned and organised everything was. I’m based in Glasgow and have held several roles recently in higher ed and the third sector, so to see an efficient workplace where all cogs in the machine were running as planned was an absolute breath of fresh air.
Anyhow, I have a range of transferable skills and am looking for entry level roles within the industry. I believe I would suit roles such as location assistant, crowd management, art department assistant, writer’s assistant, researcher, driver, fact checker, just to name a few.
I have a BSc in Journalism. I’ve previously owned a chauffeuring service (overseas), have extensive experience in data collections fieldwork, project coordination, property management, as well as home repairs and maintenance.
I am great at building rapport with people, and community is a passion of mine. I am also really great at practical tasks, and know my way around tools. I can provide references and further info on my skills and experience.
Equally, I’m really happy to be on set as an SA.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice, or otherwise wants to connect, please reach out.
