I am a multi-skilled professional with a strong work ethic.

My career, like my life, has not followed a linear trajectory. I have a broad and varied skillset, from my BSc and experience in Journalism, to my more practical handywoman skills in Painting/Decorating, bike mechanics, and home maintenance. I have done a great many jobs in my short 42 years, and I believe this would stand me in good stead, as I am someone who is keen to roll up her sleeves and do whatever needs to be done. I also have loads of transferrable skills, including softskills, which I am not sure can be taught.
I currently work on a variety of projects in data collections for public health research at the University of Glasgow. In addition to this, I hold various freelancer roles, including supporting artist, freelance writer and bicycle trainer.
I would to transfer my skills to the television industry, specifically in production and preproduction.
My degree and experience in journalism could transfer to writer's assistant, researcher, fact checker or similar roles.
My experience in residential renovations (as well as bicycle mechanics) could transfer to set design assistant roles, prop assistant, or various roles.
Various supervisory and coordinator roles that require delegation and soft skills would lend themselves to roles such as crowd management, and similar.
Driving/Chauffeuring: I previously owned and operated a private sedan chauffeur service with airport and military base privileges, and drove various television personalities, football players and CEOs, with a repeat client base. In addition to this, I have experience driving larger vehicles, as I owned a 24 foot RV, which I've driven the majority of the eastern seaboard of North America. As a fieldworker at the University of Glasgow, I undertook a van induction in a large passenger van. While working at Bike for Good, I undertook a van induction of a Vauxhall Vivano, which I drove regularly to deliver event materials. In addition, I have years of experience driving a vehicle with a 16 foot trailer when I ran a women's outdoors kayaking/paddleboarding group. I hold a full UK driving license.
As my data collections role necessitates me going into schools and nurseries to collect primary outcome data, I hold a PVG. I have previously volunteered with LGBTQ+ young people, and while at university, I undertook courses in educational studies and psychology, which could help in roles such as chaperone.
I believe the combination of my skills, expeorence and personality would make me excellent as a production runner, location scout/assistant, to name a few.
