@RichardNash I think you can do what you want re dates but I think a talent manager's opinion might be better. I wonder whether TM could set up a strand - "freelancers questions to recruiters"- or somesuch and each month people could submit questions like these hoping they'd be answered by a range of recruiters. Would that be useful?

@RichardNash This is a question that comes up a lot in our CV Workshops - the general consensus seems to be that dates are more important for your most recent credits but you can start to group together credits under just the year (or maybe not at all) the more experience you have. Or even leave off older credits altogether. Some TMs have said it is good to see how long you have been in the industry too - shows off your experience!

Thanks Becs. That’s very kind, but I’m happy with my CV. It’s just the way this otherwise wonderful site seems to stipulate years as a requirement in the credit section.

@RichardNash I see what you mean. Maybe we just make it so adding a date is not compulsory? That would be easy to do I think. @AnthonyBeckford is that right? We would just need to check with a few of the recruiters whether having profile data presented in this way would be less useful for them

@SarahLee @RichardNash Including dates on your credits helps the platform (and recruiters) understand the timing and depth of your experience.
Dates allow us to power smarter search results so that, for example, if someone is looking for an experienced Series Producer, we can return people who’ve done that role recently and for a sustained period. It’s not about how long you’ve been in the industry — it’s about showing how current and relevant your experience is.

@RichardNash At the moment, your privacy settings only allow you to hide all of your credits — there isn’t currently an option to hide individual or selected credits.
