Julian is a hard working, positive and talented professional. He is excellent at driving forward a series with creativity and determination. He crafts his films with excellent writing and strong narrative. He excels in specialist factual and made me look very good on a number of occasions, for which I am indebted.
Julian is professional, fastidious and experienced. He has adapted quickly to a fast moving, fast growing environment in Asia and is also easy to work with in the edit and on location. I would hire him again.
Julian is second to none when it comes to delivering outstanding factual programming. Having had the pleasure of working with him on an eclectic variety of technically, geographically and conceptually challenging series over the last 10 years. Unfazed and unflappable, he’ll always be a first port of call for future productions.
I have worked as a cameraman and DOP with Julian on two productions, 3D Wildebeest migration for Sky TV and "the Elephant king" for Terra mater and smithsonian channel. Julian was of a very calm nature, very easy to befriend and a real pleasure to work with. He has a wonderful sense of humour and generally just a real nice guy! I would happily work alongside him on a desert island knowing that we bear great synergy. He is very talented as a director and producer, and extremely knowledgeable on the technical side of film production, a great writer and and also a creative thinker. He also possesses great knowledge on wildlife and wildlife behavior.

Julian is a warm and unflappable presence, who enthusiastically and adeptly wrangles every aspect of a project, from start to finish. A 'plate-spinner', he's great at managing schedules and teams, as well as having a keen eye for story. A genuine 'people person', he loves making television and building great teams. He's always a pleasure to work with.
