This is a real passion project of mine, which was produced as part of my Wildlife FIlmmaking Masters Degree. I've been studying and working with sea turtles for many years. During one of my expeditions, the protagonist of the film, Devon, showed me 'The Turtle Graveyard' and explained the extent to which poaching still occurs secretly away from view, despite his best efforts. The impact this visit had on me was extraordinary. I still remember every detail, every visual, every smell, every crunch of a turtle skull. It amazed me how little support Devon received for his work from the government, and how few people knew such an issue existed. After sitting on the idea for a few years (and even longer in releasing it), I returned to help Devon tell the story.
