@RosieTaylor this is excellent really well written. I’m at the other end of the scale to you in terms of experience but I spent many years as a runner which is always hard even at the best of times so it’s difficult to imagine what it’s like now! Really hope it all improves for you. You’re clearly passionate, intelligent and committed and, really, that’s more than enough. Good luck!

@RosieTaylor Hi Rosie, this is beautifully written, all the more so because it's so obviously from the heart. Unfortunately, all the issues that you've highlighted don't get easier as you move up the experience ladder. I've been in the industry for 37 years and, in terms of how people are treated, not a lot has changed. You're so obviously talented though, so please don't give up. That said, librarian is a decent 'other job'. I've done it myself many times in 'down' periods. La luta continua!

@RosieTaylor Hi Rosie, You're writing what so many people are going through. From Producers, PM's and 1st AD's through all the grades. My inbox is full of CV's from people needing a job. There are people leaving the business in big numbers, both scripted and non scripted. If you want to get out onto the floor, now is a good time to contact Production companies, LP's, PM's and AD's. Good luck and keep plugging away. Go find the local A lister to put a good word in on their job.
