@MattWilliams walking (literally) into George Michael in Covent Garden and me gasping when I realised who I was apologising to and him putting his finger to his lip to ask me to stay quiet and not bring attention to him. It wasn't work related, but it was very sweet. I think he was enjoying walking down the street with his baseball hat on going unnoticed. I think this was 1996 or 1997. Eric Clapton stood on my foot at a work event once. That was funny and painful 😜. Miranda Hart said she liked my shoes once when passing me on the stairs.

@MattWilliams On a personal level, I was once queuing up to buy a newspaper at a London airport and I couldn't understand why my travelling companion and others were, seemingly, staring and pointing at me. Totally oblivious Sean Connery was right in front of me until he paid for his newspaper, with cash, and the cashier asked him to sign a piece of paper, and then he was gone.

@MattWilliams Here's one of mine....I went to the Empire Film Awards a few times (always a laugh) and met quite a few famous faces. The nicest: Jodie Comer, Andy Serkis, Tom Hiddleston, Shane Meadows, Anthony Daniels. The not so nice: A well known UK columnist & author & her cohort of journo pals.

@MattWilliams This is going back a bit. Gary Oldman kissed my hand at the Lost in Space Premiere. I was working as a trainee VJ for a news channel. The entertainment reporter I was saddled to was sexist, patronising and for a young man in his prime, he was quite odd in an Alan Partridge kind of a way. I was the butt of his jokes wherever we went. I’ll call him JD. I’d long been a fan of Oldman, which I’d mentioned in our morning meeting during the divvying up of assignments. I normally avoided giving JD fodder for his daily gibes but I was excited about seeing Mr Oldman. Later that evening in Leicester Square, we were poised behind the press barrier ready for the A list arrivals. As the cast made their way along the red carpet, JD bagged an interview with Matt Le Blanc and finally…Gary O. Right at the end of the interview JD said, “now Gary, some people here think you’re a sex symbol, which includes the bird behind the camera. Do you have anything to say”. I could feel my face flushing hot, I lowered my DV cam and managed an apologetic smile. Gary Oldman took my left hand, asked my name and when I replied he said, “it is a pleasure to meet you Elise”. He kissed my hand with a chivalrous flourish, disregarded JD and then moved on up the line.

@MattWilliams having Dustin Hoffman as a next door neighbour whilst I was editing at Molinare. He was directing his 1st film, I was cutting a gardening programme.

@MattWilliams Got food from the catering van I had a tray of over flowing beef stew or whatever it was. So was walking quite carefully then Cillian Murphy walked out of the fruit trailer with an apple and we ended up stopping and facing each other for a moment because this was a very overflowed beef stew great care was needed. So we just stood there I said sorry because which way will one go. He just looked at me for a moment , bit his apple then walked off.

@MattWilliams Oh I have so many!... But surely retrieving Jude Law's mobile phone when he forgot where he's lost is one of my favourite stories.
