Hello everyone. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and commented on our petition to Jeremy Hunt and the DCMS regarding Jeremy's comments at the Budget last week. We have nearly 4000 signatures (which is incredible), hundreds of quite harrowing but very important comments, articles in Broadcast online and Televisual highlighting the petition, and, most impressive of all, over £700 donated by some incredibly generous people, which goes towards getting eyes on the petition, and therefore hopefully more signatures. We could not be more grateful to all of you for your support and generosity on this.
The petition is going very well and still gaining in numbers, we would love to break the 5000 mark so we can start putting pressure on the government and networks to step up and acknowledge our petition and the industry's concerns. So please SHARE with ALL your networks (WhatsApp, X, Insta, TikTok, FB, Linkedin, word of mouth... the lot...) and like/comment on other people's posts so the algorithm favours us. We must have 10,000+ TV professionals in the UK, so we're certain we can garner further support to become a force that can no longer be ignored.
Thank you so much once again and let's keep pushing while the budget is still fresh in people's minds.
