There are times where we feel like life keeps knocking us down. This might feel especially true right now as we enter a year of uncertainty for the TV and advertising worlds, it's bloody cold outside and the job ads are SLIM (unlike me. I deffo ate 4 rounds of Christmas dinner).

During these less fruitful times it is important to be able to dig deep and tap into the skill of perseverance - and faith šŸ™Œ

*Know change needs to come*
Most of us don’t love change. If however we accept and anticipate that change will come, it helps minimise the stress that comes along with it.

Instead of fighting change, persevere onward and realise that - even though it is tough - if we put positive energy into change it will feel better. Focusing on how hard things are won't help anyone - especially not yourself. Become a solution seeker as you adapt to the changes that are happening in our field.

*You have a choice*
You have control over your thinking.
If you need support in staying positive and keeping your head above water - ask for it.

Part of perseverence is knowing when it’s time to ask for help. Doing this isn"t a sign of weakness or failure.. some of the most resilient people I know are those that have learned that relying on our network is what allows them to continue to be strong and continue to persevere when times get rough.

*Don’t forget to maintain a good attitude.*
Laugh, be positive, and try to keep an attitude of faith.

Giving up won't change the situation. Feeling low will mostly affect you. I know smiling won't pay the bills but a proactive mind and a determination to think outside the box or get a new damn box just might

Today I left my handbag on a train and whilst running to retrieve it I fell. Flat on my face. I wanted to cry... it was a shiity stick in my already shitty pile of sticks. Instead I made eye contact with a passerby and giggled. He giggled too, helped me up and we got my bag back.

We got this. Keep the faith šŸ™
