I just wanted to give you all a quick update on Libby's story and thank everyone who has got in touch with me, donated, or helped raise awareness through sharing Libby's fundraiser.
Over Christmas Libby's mum and dad, Vanessa and James appeared on BBC Radio and local television. Since then they have been contacted by the world's leading expert on Small Cell Ovarian Cancer and Libby has begun chemotherapy treatment. The progress Libby has made between chemo rounds has been remarkable and she gets stronger every day.
Since going live just over a month ago 2,000 people have donated more than £60,000 to help raise money for Libby's Immunotherapy treatment. When there is so much toxicity in the media it is so edifying to get such a positive response. Thank you.
For me personally it has been terrific hearing from old colleagues with messages of support, and Libby and the family are all incredibly grateful to you for helping raise awareness.
