My biggest challenge in 2022 was overcoming my fear of stepping up from AP Self Shooting to DV Director. After speaking with industry friends I realised that I had already filmed similarly as a DV Director working alone on projects with contributors. I am confident in my shooting skills already and just needed to focus more on narrative, story and all that developing and liasing with contributors, presenters and then crew to have the confidence and produce to the productions story and series.

I was forced to edit a twenty-episode series remotely because I could no longer stay in my country (Russia). We contacted the director, music editor and creative team via the Internet. It was a new experience that required more effort and was very exhausting for the first days. The louper.io service helped us a lot.
