Question for the panel, why are people asked for their rates in over letters or chats/interviews when you feel pressured to give an asnwer. Shouldn't this be discussed if or when an offer is made and be on a par with your male counter parts however you never know what the budgets are and you don't want to come across as being difficult. How do you strike a balance of not disclosing your rate but not losing the job at the same time? Any tips welcome!!

Great to hear Sara talk about Bafta recognising a wider range of roles. Interesting the Griersons have been recognising production roles for a while too. It's so important these key awards do this

I'm doing my first job share role at the moment as an SP which means I get two 'non work' days with my 2 year old - I never thought I'd be offered a part time role! The industry as a whole needs to be more forward thinking and flexible in the way people (mainly women) work.

I have a question for Helen - Firstly, I 100% agree with you on the disparities re rates, accreditation and career development in unscripted TV for Black Women and minority employees - As someone who often feels othered within the industry how do you stick to your guns, push for your personal career development and hold space for yourself as a Black woman within this industry and what advice do you have for Black women starting out or working in the industry?

Over 20,000 rates have been added to The Talent Manager ratechecker so it really is worth checking out. If you do please contribute to it too by adding your recent rates. The more people use it the more valuable a resource it will become

I am in unscripted and know my rate approx but am on the cusp of stepping up to AP and am trying to push up ladder which is tricky. Thanks
