I am an experienced organised and mature factual researcher looking to step up to Junior AP. I came to TV as a second career having come from a drama background and re-trained at NFTS in Factual Development and Production, after winning a scholarship from the Discovery Channel. I bring strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills in all my roles. Last December I was selected by Channel 4 to undertake a 2 week female documentary course at NFTS where I learnt the basics of camera and editing to make my own short films. I am currently available and looking for my next contract.
My most recent credit was working on the long running series Great British Railway Journeys and prior to that I was series Researcher on a new Channel 4 travel series, The World's Most Secret Hotels. Other experience includes working on a series of 3 high profile documentaries for BBC Events, developing and generating ideas for the Yesterday Channel for UKTV, researching a specialist factual history series for Smithsonian and casting on the documentary strand, Dispatches on Channel 4. Over the last 2 years I consistently delivered stories on time working both remotely and under challenging covid restrictions, casting interesting contributors, setting up shoots and worked with a range of talent.
My other credits include documentaries for Channel 5, consumer series for Channel 4, BBC1 and popular factual for ITV. I work well independently as well as part of a team and can adapt to challenging environments.
I always bring a diverse cast and range of stories to any production I work on as well as regionality as I want to reflect the cultural diversity of the UK on screen to the best of my ability. Read Less
