Hi, would you be open to hiring someone with no/little experience in TV/Film making a career shift into the industry?

I'm an agency producer who has just finished producing my first indie doc in my free time. I'm now looking to move into the documentary industry, ideally as a Researcher or AP. How do I convince talent execs that I have the right skills even though I haven't got a history in running/researching?

What happens with the employment contract and then creating titles and content , what happens with the IP ownership of the project. How do you deal with staff or others on creating new content .

Question: what advice would you give to someone just looking to get started in the industry who does not yet have experience?

I'm interested in some roles in tv production but also am not super young but make up for this with life experience and recent dance films I have made. I feel I can bring my role as a teacher, an ability to connect with people and love to hear their life stories. This seems to regularly happen whilst I wait for a bus, through no intention of my own! I will be making contact and being flattering to those producers whose work I have enjoyed but any other advice?

I have a Drama/Unscripted Game show/ Children's project at early stage pitch would be great to be part of a team . Huge production experience in TV but would like to work in Development.
