Left Bank Pictures has signed Baby Reindeer executive producer Matt Jarvis in a senior role – the first signing by new chief executive Charlotte Moore.

Jarvis joins the former BBC chief content controller on Left Bank’s senior leadership team as an executive producer taskd with developing its slate and originate new scripted shows.

He is also acting creative director for the duration of Sian McWilliams’ maternity leave.

Jarvis joins from Clerkenwell Films, where he spent more than 15 years. As well as Netflix smash Baby Reindeer, his credits include E4’s Misfits and The Aliens and BBC1’s Cheaters.

Hailing Left Bank founder and executive chair Andy Harries’ “creative vision and business instinct”, Jarvis said the Sony company is “one of the world’s leading producers of high-end television shows”.

He said: “The opportunity to work directly with Charlotte Moore, one of the media industry’s top high-level executives, to help shape the creative future of Left Bank was too great to turn down and I can’t wait to get started.”

Moore said Jarvis is “one of the most talented executives in the UK TV industry [with] a track record of extraordinary successes”, adding:
