Adolescence became the second consecutive British Netflix show to scoop the best limited anthology series at this year’s Emmys.
Warp Films’ five-parter took home six awards, with 15 year-old debut actor Owen Cooper becoming the youngest ever winner in any male acting category.
Actors Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty both won in supporting actor categories, with further wins for Graham and Jack Thorne as writers, and one for director Philip Barantini.
The awards build on two wins for the drama at the previous week’s Creative Emmys, for casting director Shaheen Baig and director of photography Matthew Lewis
Last year, Clerkenwell Films’ Netflix hit Baby Reindeer won six awards across the two events, with creator and star Richard Gadd triumphant in the acting and writing categories.
Other British winners across this year’s two Emmy events included Slow Horses director Adam Randall and Black Mirror editors JasonBoxall and Damon Tai.
Apple TV+ comedy The Studio was the most garlanded show across the two ceremonies with 13 awards, ahead of HBO’s The Penguin’s nine. The most nominated show, Apple’s Severance, matched Adolescence’s eight.
The US iteration of The Traitors, produced by Studio Lambert, won five awards.
