All3Media indie Story Films has signed former October Films head of development Mohammed Adnan to its New York office.

As vice president of development, he will oversee the company’s unscripted slate, particularly limited series and feature docs for streaming platforms.

He has previously been global head of development at Pulse Films and was a development producer at Maverick Television.

His appointment comes as executive producer Adam Hopkins, who has worked on Story shows such as Linford and Losing It: Our Mental Health Emergency, is promoted to head of factual.

Meanwhile, Liza Williams, who directed Story’s Netflix doc Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare, has joined as an executive producer, working on single documentaries for streamers and PSBs.

Last year, Story picked up a string of Bafta, International Emmy and Royal Television Society awards for its Sky doc Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story.
