I am currently a Media Management masters student at the University of Glasgow. I have worked freelance in production for the last 2 years and am currently waking on my dissertation, which is looking at changing attitudes and practices around duty of care in British reality TV productions.
In order to fully examine how these protocols have progressed over time, I would love to discuss your professional experiences in creating reality TV programmes through a zoom interview.
I am looking for people in production to shed light on their experiences, as your invaluable insight into the production process and if there have been any changes regarding diversity and duty of care for contributors.
Topics of discussion would be:
Duty of care protocols: such as vetting and aftercare procedures.
Diversity in creating TV content.
Implementation of psychologists and mental welfare in TV productions
Please let me know if you are comfortable with discussing these topics. If you would like to read the consent forms before committing to an interview, this can be arranged.
Conversely, if you know of another colleague or contact who would be interested in taking part in this research then please forward this post to them or let me know of their contact details.
Please contact me either through leaving a comment or on my email: 2604397S@student.gla.ac.uk
Thank you for reading this,
