Run in partnership with Netflix and in association with ScreenSkills, Grierson DocLab: Development offers intensive training, mentoring and a work placement at a UK production company for eight successful candidates.

If you have:
Accumulated three-to-eight years’ experience in the sector
At least one experience working as a development researcher or development AP reflected on your CV
A passion for pursuing development as your chosen career path in documentary

Then this could be the programme for you!

Trainees will receive intensive training and mentoring from leading creative directors and development specialists, alongside in-depth workshops focused on high-level development skills such as securing access, shaping returnable formats, editorial decision-making, and strategic pitching.

The Trust has a track record for supporting diverse talent, and so we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
