⚡ It’s alive.
Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time on a small problem that I think many editors know well: end credits.

At some point I needed to make them myself and realised I couldn’t find a tool that worked the way I wanted — fast, simple, and without spending half an evening learning a new workflow.

There are dedicated tools, of course. You can also build credits in your NLE, or use After Effects — which can do almost anything, but sometimes feels a bit like starting an excavator to plant a flower.

So I thought: why not make the tool I’d actually want to use?
That’s how Edit Credits started.

I’m not a developer, and a couple of years ago this idea probably would have ended with “someone should make this.” But with AI making coding much more accessible, I decided to see how far I could take it.

Quite a bit further than I expected. 🙂

I’ve spent more time on it than I planned, made several real credit sequences with it, fixed a lot of annoying little things along the way — and I genuinely like how it works now.

🎬 In short, Edit Credits lets you:
• import credits from Excel or Google Sheets
• update an existing project from a revised file and review the detected changes
• build and edit cards, rolls and other credit blocks
• export a finished video file, including formats with an alpha channel

The idea is simple: bring in your credits, organise them, make changes without breaking everything, and get a finished file out the other end.
Edit Credits is now in public beta. 🚧

It will definitely keep changing, and I’m sure there are still things I haven’t thought of, but it’s already at the point where I’m happy to use it myself.
So — it’s alive. ⚡

If you work with end credits, feel free to give it a try. I’d especially love feedback from people who deal with this part of post regularly and know exactly where the pain points are.
