Huge thanks to Vishal Kumar and Camera Intelligence for putting this event at their offices at Digital Catapult in London this morning 📍
What is unique about the Caira camera system is that it is the first mirrorless camera connected to a phone that uses GenAI right within the interface to change footage instantly. đź“·
That means the AI understands the scene in 3D so it can change lighting, add camera moves, remove objects, or extend the set using plain English right at the point of capture.
You control it with a smartphone app. The phone attaches to the camera with MagSafe. You also get voice control for editing your work.
Some AI models sit on the camera so parts of it can work offline. Gemini Omni and Aleph sit inside the app and it just does it on the fly.
You might say, why not just use your computer or phone to edit, and it’s a fair question.
The lenses are a huge upgrade to the iPhones and you’re getting DSLR quality images. The software aims to cut out the step of switching to another app for editing.
It is an interesting idea đź’ˇ It targets a specific sort of mid pro user with not much time.
If it can find its audience of users, I am sure it will do well 🚀
