Anyone else watching Furious on Disney +?
The show is stacked from top to bottom, and that’s honestly what I think makes it work so well. Every character feels like a real person, not a plot device with a haircut, even the ones who show up for two scenes feel like they’ve got a whole messy life happening off-screen.
The subject matter couldn’t be more relevant, and it’s dark - like, really dark - but somehow completely compulsive. You’ll want to look away and can’t. It all adds up to a show that somehow works as social commentary, procedural, dark comedy, and nail-biter all at once, and it doesn’t feel like it’s juggling too much, because the writing and performances hold it together.
