I went to the Creative AI & IPVISE event in Kensington, London today and it was brilliant.
The room had a strong mix of filmmakers, students, marketers and people interested in GenAI Video.
🚀It opened with a short welcome from the IPVISE UK team and CreativeAI’s very own, Martin Gent.
🚀BAFTA and Emmy winning filmmaker Martin Percy, then delivered a fascinating keynote:
Making AI Films Despite the Backlash.
The term “AI slop” gets thrown around a lot and is often used as a catch all for anything created with AI, completely disregarding the quality or creativity of the work.
Creative AI is yet to have its ‘Toy Story’ moment, where it gets acceptance from the general film community..but that day will come. And probably sooner than many expect.
🚀The IPVISE team gave a live demo of their AI creative platform. Watching a full workflow run from concept to finished piece was genuinely useful.
It’s a highly intuitive, node based creation platform designed with non technical users in mind. It’s powerful yet approachable, and built to feel like a proper creative tool rather than a simple prompting engine.
The platform is now live and well worth a look.🔥🔥
🚀The Alibaba Cloud team showcased their impressive Happy Horse model. It achieves excellent character consistency by letting users anchor up to nine multi asset reference images, locking character features and outfits perfectly across multi shot cinematic cuts with minimal drift.
🚀IPVISE then launched a three week AI Film Competition with a £2,000 cash prize, AI credits, and serious creator support.🔥🔥🔥💰💰💰
🚀The rest of the evening was spent chatting with the sizeable creative AI community over a lot of pizza.
