I’m on a bit of a mission, could you help?
But first a story… of a young (!) researcher who nearly 10 years ago watched a series called (get ready it’s huge) ‘No More Boys and Girls: Can Our Kids Go Gender Free?’ by Outline Productions.
Her mind was filled with so much wonder at how a group of heroes could have put together such a perfect documentary.
For years she’s preached its message: of scientific evidence being used to show how we’re effectively screwing up our children & society by pushing ridiculous & outdated stereotypes right from the moment of conception.
That’s right, that researcher is me.
No More Boys & Girls is the tv that the world needs. It’s the tv I’d like to make. Its message is imperative to get out.
It links to mental health, misogyny, health & wellbeing all by looking at how we engage with babies & young children.
But it was so engaging, informative & beautifully put, it’s still got me gushing about it nearly a decade on.
Unfortunately I still feel that so many people need its lessons, even more so with toxic masculinity and transphobia on the rise.
No longer after watching it, I fell pregnant & went on to have our child, leaving TV for 8 years.
I’ve been talking about the themes in this series for decades & I’ll continue to talk about them because they’re everything. What I’d also love to do is make programmes about these themes because that’s the stuff that changes the world; educates a first time parent wondering how the heck not to screw up their most precious creation, educates a middle aged bloke who doesn’t know how to talk about his emotions but really needs to before it’s too late…
Please could you help me thank the makers of this show if you know them or are them. Not sure why this has suddenly come up in my mind now but they deserve some bigging up.
And if anyone is making anything similar can you please keep me in mind?

It really was wonderful. Thank you & thanks for replying to my slightly batty fangirling!
