Finally, after locking last year, the trailer is out for World War II With Tom Hanks — a project I'm incredibly honoured to have worked on.
Over 20 episodes you get a retelling of the Second World War, hosted and narrated by Tom Hanks, drawing on rarely seen archive material and insight from leading historians. It covers the origins of the conflict to some of its most decisive turning points — and the human stories at its heart.
I have to admit, that it wasn't the easiest, many of the stories were harrowing to piece together and leave you pondering about people, and tragedies out of living memory, but working on a project of this scale, with the WW2 team, has been one of the highlights of my career. Huge thanks to the entire Nutopia team.
