But trying to make them a bit more character led than the usual fighting tech demo’s you see a lot of.

I think there is about 80 shots in this animation.

When it comes to workflow :-

Firstly Come up with an idea. And story board it. Have a plan.. with an ending.

Grok really doesn’t give many options. Just one image and a prompt.

But the image generator does allow mixing 3 images now. Thats the base image + 2 new elements. And you can keep adding 2 new elements indefinitely. Until you have an image for each one in the story boards.

Character consistency was helped with the creation of a style sheet. For each character from every conceivable view.

Then the same was done for every asset like the hats, the time portal, and aliens in the fashion show.. All against white backgrounds. These then can be added to the scene stills as needed for each shot in the story board.

I used Kling for 2 shots.. the rest is grok. There was 2 occasions where I really needed to specify the first and last from as reference.. and grok doesn’t allow that yet.

Grok gives practically unlimited generations for free is useful to try out performances, the app is good.. but the web interface lets you queue up more video shots at once. I use both at the same time.

It’s Edited together for speed on premier on the iPad where I reverse some shots..stitch others together.. add music.. and sound fx.. and see what’s not working. Then go back and start filling it gaps..removing jokes that were terrible. And try to make it feel more snappy.

It’s more of a sketchbook of an idea.
