This was a fun little short project I made with grok video and put together on an iPad.

The aim was to create a pixar style short. This idea actually came to me in a dream. So the great thing is.. nowadays you can then open iPad and generate it.

Grok has some limitations. But working around them is half the fun.

The biggest limitation is not being able to give a last frame as reference. But you can give a first frame. So I just give that and tell grok to create the animation backwards for certain shots… and then reverse in post.. to get what I need.

The long intro shot was done by stitching together a few shots.. as grok only generates 5 secs at a time.

And then it was put together in Premier on the iPad.. with added sfx and music.

The workflow was to use grok to get the characters right.. create a style sheet for each location and character.

Then create stills of each shot(using grok imagine)

Then start animating them using reference frames and prompts.

It’s a great way to sketch and try out ideas.
