This was a challenging position and a career highlight. BBC staff were unable to travel to India at the time so I took care of the entire production of two demanding sequences for them with remote collaboration with the team in Bristol. We hired the crew and equipment and handled all the scouting, logistics, permits, insurance, risk assessment, releases, and community liaison. We uploaded daily selects and I maintained an assembly edit of the sequence which I updated every time we shot something amazing that improved what was there already. This meant my colleagues in Bristol could see their narrative evolving and improving dynamically as the shoot progressed.
