Lately, I’ve been catching myself on an important (and not very comfortable) thought.
I’m a composer and sound designer. This is my profession, my craft, and the way I think. I’ve been working with sound for years, yet recently I’ve started to doubt myself and my professional value.
Not because I’ve run out of ideas.
Not because I’ve fallen out of love with sound.
But because I lack collaboration.
When there are no new people, no new teams, no living exchange for a long time, you begin to lose external reference points. It becomes harder to understand where you stand as a professional and whether you’re moving in the right direction. Without dialogue, it’s easy to get stuck in your own bubble and start undervaluing what actually has weight and meaning.
I know this isn’t a unique state. Many creatives go through similar phases. We just rarely talk about it openly. And we should. Because interaction, collaboration, and fresh perspectives from the outside often bring clarity and confidence back.
So I want to reach out to my network here on LinkedIn.
If you work with games, film, animation, interactive or media projects and care about sound - I’d be glad to connect.
If you’re a producer, director, game developer, or part of a team looking for a composer or sound designer - let’s talk.
Even a simple conversation or exchange of experience can be the beginning of something bigger.
I believe new collaborations are born from openness.
So if this resonates with you - feel free to comment or send me a message.
