As this year draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on an exceptionally busy and rewarding 12 months in television.
I’ve had the privilege of serving as Series Editor on the second series of Yorkshire Great and Small with Dan Walker and Helen Skelton, delivering 20 episodes of Our Great Yorkshire Life, and now launching Winter on the Farm on Channel 5 for three consecutive nights starting tonight - followed by a specially extended Christmas on the Farm airing Monday 22nd December at 9pm.
This may well be the highest volume of programming I’ve been involved in across my 27.5 years in TV, certainly at Series Producer/Series Editor level.
I’m incredibly grateful for the editorial teams, production management colleagues, post-production partners, crews and commissioning editors whose talent, support and dedication have made it all possible. The work has been challenging at times, but we’ve navigated it with calm heads and a genuine sense of enjoyment.
A highlight was also picking up an award for Yorkshire by the Sea, made at True North a couple of years ago.
Like many, I’m navigating a challenging landscape in my area of the industry - but I remain optimistic, motivated, and am now looking ahead to securing my next project for 2026.
If you’re looking for a seasoned Series Producer/Series Editor or Edit Producer for factual or factual-entertainment projects, I’d welcome a conversation.
