We were honoured to explore First Cut: Saving Mum, the powerful and visually striking Channel 4 documentary from Dancing Ledge and StoryTell-Her Studios, airing 10th December on Channel 4.
The film follows @MaleenaPone as she reconnects with and supports her alcoholic mother, blending intimate family archive with vivid footage from the UK and Costa Rica. It offers a tender, unflinching portrait of a British Punjabi family and the complexities of love, trauma, and healing.
