@RobinParker Really really sad news. Will was my first ever series producer at the BBC. He was hugely supportive, warm and generous and as your quote so perfectly put it, made my start in TV lots of fun to work on - and the shows hugely entertaining too. We took over Trafalgar Square to highlight the treatment of former soldiers and Islington Green to show how second homes were affecting Cornish villages; I built a beach outside a caravan with artificial grass from Shepherds Bush Market and designed a coat of arms featuring pigeons and Nelson’s column using photoshop. He radiated so much enthusiasm for someone new to the business. A really lovely man with a terrific tv brain.

@RobinParker This is such a shock. I've known Will since primary school & we'd reconnected over the last few years. He was just a wonderful human being with a brilliant career behind him and so much more to do. He was warm, super funny, self-deprecating, someone who fizzed with ideas, energy and enthusiasm. He loved telly and making programmes but didn't take it - or himself - too seriously. It's a cliche to say that someone will be 'missed terribly' but in Will's case it is so true.
